Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Helm (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Helm is a CV-tailoring tool that helps users generate customised CVs based on job descriptions. The Service processes your uploaded CV and job listing data to produce tailored documents using AI-powered generation.

3. User Accounts

You may sign in using Google OAuth. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. Helm does not store your Google password. We receive only your name, email address, and profile picture from Google.

4. User Content

You retain ownership of all content you upload to Helm, including your CV, work experience, and any job descriptions you provide. By using the Service, you grant Helm a limited licence to process this content solely for the purpose of generating your tailored CV.

Your content is processed to deliver the Service to you.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to generate misleading or fraudulent CVs
• Attempt to reverse-engineer or extract the underlying AI models
• Use automated scripts to access the Service at scale
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations

6. Subscriptions and Payments

Helm offers both free and paid tiers. Paid subscriptions are billed monthly. You may cancel at any time, and your access will continue until the end of the current billing period. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis.

7. Intellectual Property

The Helm name, logo, design system, and underlying technology are the property of Helm. The tailored CVs generated by the Service belong to you.

8. Limitation of Liability

Helm is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that generated CVs will result in job offers or interviews. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Helm shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

9. Data Deletion

You may delete all your data at any time from the Settings page. Upon deletion, your CV data is removed from both your browser and our servers.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
